Everyone needs some encouragement when school gets back in session.
Have you ever noticed how everyone gets some butterflies in their tummies and emotions are high right before school starts? Parents and kids alike.
The kids are trying to figure everything and everyone out. Not to mention, they want a safe person to lean on throughout the process of getting settled in a new routine.
As a bonus (sarcasm), we all know how hectic life gets once school gets started. The wave of crazy schedules has already started for me and I expects the storms to keep coming.
No matter what school option your family goes with, getting back to school is a good opportunity to shield your family with scripture. We need some Back to School Bible Verses to guide us as we pray.
There are tough days ahead and we need to be ready.
The best way to not only survive but to thrive during the school transistion, is to get into God’s Word.
We will be revisiting some favorite Bible verses in our house as we get back to school.
Reminders of His promises to be near are always comforting to hear/read. The Word also reminds us how we should respond as christians to the tough situations that will inevitably come. Scripture can help soften unexpected challenges and changes, too.
Doing a Back to School reading plan will help kids learn that no matter what they face, God will be there with them. It will also help to remind us of that fact, while we try to be a great parent.
I gathered some of my favorite verses to read through with my young ones. I wanted this to be simple and quick. We just wanted a simple set of verses that you can read and pray over in a week or so.
I hope your family enjoys these, too.

Here are you Back to School Bible Verses.
“I can do everything by the power of Christ. He gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13
I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. Psalm 16:8
“Here is what I am commanding you to do. Be strong and brave. Do not be afraid. Do not lose hope. I am the Lord your God. I will be with you everywhere you go.” Joshua 1:9
Set your mind on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Colossians 3:2
Obey your spiritual leaders, and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you. Hebrews 13:17

Just an extra idea, you can cut these apart and put them in your kid’s backpacks or lunch boxes as a great reminder of what you’ve already talked about.
