What is it? What does it mean for me? When should I pray?

Maybe you wonder if it is important or even real.

 

Fortunately, we have an abundance of good Bible verses to teach us about prayer. This research was so enlightening for me as it answered several questions about prayer without any additional explanation.

 

After you read through this collection of Bible verses about prayer, you’ll see that prayer is an amazing gift from God. It is a means of communication from us to Him. You’ll also see that our heart condition, the amount of faith we have, and who we should pray for is valuable information found in the verse collection below.

Psalm 4:1

Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have given me relief when I was in distress. Be gracious to me and hear my prayer!

 

Psalm 6:9

Psalm 145:18

The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him truth.

 

Proverbs 15:8

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is acceptable to him.

 

Proverbs 15:29

The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.

 

Jeremiah 29:12

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.

 

James 5:15 – 16

And the prayer of the faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
