During times of overwhelm, we can inadvertently hold love from our own children. It’s like we get focused on everything else that we don’t share love intentionally anymore.
We get sidetracked easily. We have so much to do, right? Who out there feels the pressure to do all the things? It’s gets so overwhelming.
Being a loving parent, means being on purpose with what we say, how we say it, and what we do for and with our kids. Being on purpose with showing love to your kids, doesn’t have to be hard, even when you are overwhelmed. You simply need a few tools to use when you get busy.
Think about this, when you sit down to plan your week, you write down everything you have to do for the upcoming week. Do you write down something nice to do for your kids? Something that would make them feel special? Have you ever considered making this a regular part of your planning?
For this very reason, I made Love Notes for Kids. I wanted an easy way to show my kids that I love them and that God loves them, too.
This set of cards come in color and black/white. There are 16 Love Notes, so these would be perfect to use as a countdown to Valentine’s or any special day, like a birthday.
After you get the cards, here are easy ways to use Love Notes for Kids. Number five is my favorite ; )
- Put a love note in your kids lunchbox.
- Hang a love note on your kid’s door.
- Hide Love Notes throughout the house for your kids to find.
- Decorate the bathroom mirror with Love Notes.
- Make a garland and add a new Love Note each day as you count down to the special day.
Bonus idea – Use the Love Notes to spread love to your church kids. Write a personal note on the back to make them extra special. They’ll love them.
