I’m sure by now, you’ve also seen, that I love collections of Bible verses for certain occasions. Thanksgiving is no exception. Of course, you need some thankful Bible verses for your family.
Every holiday or season is an opportunity for you to enjoy God’s Word with your family.
Fall or Thanksgiving is a great time to shine as a Christian family. Thanksgiving is a day we remember the blessings we have. Actually, we can use the whole month as a time to reflect on the good things of God.
When the pilgrims traveled to a new country looking for religious freedom, they faced a difficult winter. With little provisions left from their travels, a harsh winter, and rampant disease, half of the people who came to the new country died. But a Native American, helped the struggling pilgrims farm the land and hunt for food.
After a year of loss and an unbelievable amount of work, they celebrated and thanked God for the harvest they received and the blessing of being in a new land.
When they celebrated the first Thanksgiving, they celebrated for days. You talk about a thankful party! They had great food, great friends and family, and a reason to be thankful.
This year, even during a pandemic, what are you thankful for?
The thankful Bible verses below will help your family to remember to be thankful and what we should be thankful for.
Write the Bible verses on note cards and place all over your house for your family to find.
You can put these in your family member’s rooms, backpacks, or lunch boxes.
Another idea is to hang these from a branch after writing something you are thankful for on the back.
I suggest sitting down with your family every day for a grateful gathering. Don’t miss this opportunity to be thankful with your family. It won’t be back till next year. : )
