It’s no secret in my house I struggle getting moving in the mornings. I want to get up and I have great intentions to do so but man I just struggle. It’s like a relentless fog sits on my head.
Instead of having an unrealistic plan for my morning that doesn’t allow me to get fully awake, I need to get up at a good time for my body.
For me I need to get up and have some things accomplished quickly before the day gets away from me. Breakfast is at 8:30, usually. I want to get three really important things done before breakfast.
For me I need to get in the Word, get laundry started, and make my bed.
I like to do this before my kids get up but whew I’m not a morning person at all and they are early risers. It is what it is.
I usually make my bed as soon as I get up. Then I dress myself including shoes.
Afterward, I start a load of laundry and get breakfast done.
While the kids and I eat, we read our Bible and other books together. I get some quiet time after that.
So by 9ish, I have a lot of good things going for my day. I always check my calendar around this time.
After this, I get Ainsley going in school and start lunch.
Then, I start getting things checked off my list.
I suggest you pick your 3 things that are important to you and start your day with this before anything else gets done.
